Our services
Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) Construction
Service overview
Tailings management is one of the most critical engineering responsibilities on modern mine sites. Fema Mining specializes in the construction, raising, and rehabilitation of Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs) in full compliance with the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM) and Tanzanian environmental laws (NEMC). From bulk earth dam embankment placement and zoned clay compaction to subgrade trenching, HDPE liner laying, and decant structure civil works, we guarantee long-term containment integrity.
Technical capabilities
- Embankment bulk fill, clay core placement, and vibratory compaction
- Subgrade fine grading and anchor trench excavation for liners
- HDPE geomembrane and geotextile installation management
- Emergency spillway concrete civil works and diversion canals
- Decant towers, underdrainage piping, and seepage monitoring sumps
- Ongoing upstream/downstream dam wall raises on operational mines
Plant & equipment
- Bell B40D 6x6 Articulated Dump Trucks (Low ground pressure)
- Caterpillar 336D Excavators with Trenching Buckets
- Heavy Soil Compactor Rollers (Smooth Drum & Padfoot)
- Caterpillar 140K Motor Graders with Laser/GPS Leveling
- Heavy-duty Water Bowsers with Spray Bars
Safety & HSE
