5+ years in open-pit gold mining
Responsibilities
- Operating Caterpillar 349D/336D excavators in open-pit production benches
- Safe and efficient loading of 40-Ton to 100-Ton off-highway haul trucks
- Maintaining bench elevations, batter slopes, and floor grades to surveyor specifications
- Conducting mandatory pre-start and post-operation machine health inspections
- Adhering to Zero Harm safety protocols and pit radio communication procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Tanzanian driving license with plant equipment endorsement (Class G)
- Certified Heavy Plant Operator Certificate from a recognized vocational institute (e.g. VETA)
- Demonstrated experience operating in hard-rock gold mine environments
- Flawless safety record with zero preventable equipment incidents
