About this position
4+ years operating top-hammer crawler drill rigs
Responsibilities
- Drilling blast holes according to pattern drill plans, depths, and angles
- Monitoring drill penetration rates, flushing pressures, and bit wear
- Handling rod changing and lubrication of drill string components safely
- Recording accurate daily shift logs (meters drilled, bit serial numbers, penetration times)
- Reporting ground variances and void conditions immediately to the drill supervisor
Qualifications
- Plant Operator Certification with specialization in hydraulic crawler rigs
- Hands-on proficiency with Sandvik Pantera or Atlas Copco D65 rigs
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulic drill systems
- Ability to read and execute geotechnical drill pattern plans
